Overtightening nuts may cause gasket to pinch. Tighten nuts only until coupling halves are firmly
together (metal-to-metal).

Tighten nuts alternately and equally until coupling halves are firmly together.
d. Check Valve Replacement/Repair

Remove rear elbow at connection C-9.

Remove reducer and nipple.
3
Remove front elbow.
4
Remove check valve from pipe.
5
Remove union nut.
6
Remove end connector and seal.
7
Remove ball from valve body.
