2-112. BRINE SPOOL ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
a. Removal
NOTE
Two persons required for next two steps.

Have one person support the brine spool. Remove hexhead screw and nut from hold-down clamp.

Remove two nuts, two bolts, coupling halves, and gasket.
b. Disassembly

Remove two nuts, four flatwashers, two bolts, and two clamps. Remove two inspection lights. Inspect lights for
damage. Replace as required.

Remove pressure gage, fitting, and sample valve.

Remove two nuts, two grooved pipe coupling halves, gasket, and pipe. Remove quick-disconnect coupling
assembly.
4
Place quick-disconnect coupling assembly in vise.
5
Remove nipple and two reducers from coupling. Remove gasket.
