3-54. INJECTION PUMP REPLACEMENT (CONT)

Install two injection pump mounting bolts.

Remove timing screw.

Turn crankshaft two complete revolutions, returning to tdc compression stroke. Install timing screw.
31 Install injection pump timing tool through hole in pump housing and into notch of fuel injection camshaft.

Install automatic timing advance cover. Install eight washers and nuts.
NOTE
If timing is not correct, repeat steps 1 thru 24.

Remove plug and install oil line. Tighten two fittings.

Remove plug and install oil line on pump. Tighten two fittings.

Remove plug and install two fuel lines from fuel filter block to fuel injection pump. Tighten four line nuts.

Remove plug and install fuel line from fuel filter block to fuel transfer pump block. Tighten line nuts.

Remove plug and install fuel line from fuel filter to fuel transfer pump. Tighten line nuts.

Remove plug and install fuel delivery lines. Torque line nuts 25-35 ft lb.

Install clamp brackets. Install five screws and nuts.

Install engine throttle control cable. Install clevis pin and cotter key. Secure cotter pin.

Install engine run/stop lever. Install clevis pin and cotter pin. Secure cotter pin.

Remove injection pump timing tool from injection pump.

Install plug into side of injection pump.

Remove timing screw from flywheel.
