Remove cover from pump body.7Remove bearings from cover.8Remove gears from pump body.9Remove bearings from pump body.10Inspect pump body, cover, and gears for cracks, wear, and obvious damage. Replace damaged parts. Replaceall bearings.c. AssemblyNOTESplit in bearing should be 15-45° from centerline of oil pump outlet passage.1Install bearings into pump housing.2Install idler gear and drive gear in pump housing.NOTESplit in bearings should be 23-53° from centerline of bearing bores toward oil pump outletpassage.3Install bearings into pump housing cover.4Install cover. Install four bolts.5Install bypass valve and spring.6Install bypass valve retainer. Install two bolts.7Install woodruff key in slot on shaft.8Install gear on shaft.
