d. Installation
1
Apply clean engine oil (MIL-L-2104) to camshaft lobes and Journals.

Carefully install camshaft in cylinder block.

Install retainer and four bolts.
NOTE
Idler gear must be installed with V mark on idler gear in alinement with B mark on crankshaft gear.
The K marks of camshaft gear can be seen at outer edges of idler gear.

Aline timing marks. Install idler gear, plate, and four bolts.

Install valve lifters (para 3-63).

Install timing gear cover (para 3-68).
