DISCHARGE USING AUXILIARY HOSE AND REEL - CONTINUED

Fully unwind hose from hose reel.
8.
Place ball valve handle to OPEN.
9.
Turn on hose reel valve, by pulling handle all the way back.

WARNING
Ensure person who is manning end of hose has a firm grip on hose. Liquid discharged from hose reel is
under great pressure. Failure to follow this warning may cause end of hose to whip free and cause serious
injury or death to personnel or damage to equipment.
10.
Move pump control lever (elevator control lever) to PUMP ON, SLOW.
11.
Raise engine RPM and move pump control lever (elevator control lever) to PUMP ON, FAST, as required, depending on
amount of discharge required.
CAUTION
Tank may be raised slightly to allow discharge of residual fluid that has pooled at bottom of tank. However,
do NOT continue to discharge after EMPTY indicator light on control panel has come on. Damage to pump
could result.
12.
When discharging operation is complete, turn off pump with pump control lever (elevator control lever) and reduce
engine RPM.
13.
Place ball valve handle to CLOSE.
CAUTION
Failure to completely drain water from hose before stowing may cause hose rot and premature failure of
hose.
14.
Stow hose on hose reel.

Wipe hose clean as it is manually wound onto reel. Allow water to drain from hose as hose is stowed on reel.
