FLUSHING/RINSING TANK - CONTINUED
CAUTION
Tank must be clean to ensure effectiveness of subsequent operations. Improper cleaning will result in accu-
mulation and build-up of amendments in tank. Premature failure or damage to plumbing or pump may result.
Effectiveness of amendments used may also be reduced.
NOTE
Always check local ordinance prior to flushing/rinsing tank.
Manufacturer of amendment used in tank may have recommendations on rinsing requirements.
Flushing/Rinsing Environmentally-Safe Fluid Using Suction Loading.
1.
a.
Fill tank 1/3 FULL using suction loading [Refer to Pressurized Water Source Fill (Pressure Fill) Through Suction
Inlet or Suction Loading (Drafting) Using Onboard Pump].
b.
Place pump control switch to ON (pressure) position. Turn TANK FILL SPARGER control to ON. Turn on pump
to low or high speed.
c.
Remove front tank drain camlock cap and lower front of tank. Allow fluid to discharge onto the ground.
d.
Pressure discharge all remaining fluid. Use spray bar through which amendment was discharged from tank. This
ensures all valves and nozzles are flushed clean.
e.
Install front tank drain camlock cap and refill tank to 1/3 FULL.
f.
Repeat steps b-d.
g.
Repeat steps as many times as needed to thoroughly rinse tank.
Repeat as required until water discharged is clear and tank is clean. Discharge liquid through all valves to flush/
h.
rinse all openings and nozzles.
i.
Drain and dry tank in accordance with Draining and Drying Tank.
Flushing/Rinsing Environmentally-Safe Fluid Using Top Loading.
2.
a.
Fill tank 1/3 FULL using top loading [Refer to Top Loading (Gravity Feed) or Top Loading (Pressure Feed)].
b.
Place pump control switch to ON (pressure) position. Turn TANK FILL SPARGER control to ON. Turn on pump
to low or high speed.
c.
Remove front tank drain camlock cap and lower front of tank. Allow fluid to discharge onto the ground.
d.
Turn TANK FILL SPARGER control to OFF. Pressure discharge all remaining fluid. Use spray bar through which
amendment was discharged from tank. This ensures all valves and nozzles are flushed clean.
e.
Install front tank drain camlock cap and refill tank to 1/3 FULL using top loading.
f.
Repeat steps b-d.
g.

3.
Flushing/Rinsing Contaminated Fluid.
a.
Position machine so that auxiliary hose reel is within reach of a water control structure authorized to accept con-
taminated fluid.
