SPRAYING OPERATION (UPPER SPRAY BAR) - CONTINUED
NOTE
Making several passes to discharge liquid is preferable to making one pass, where application is so heavy
5.
Begin spraying operation.
a.
Set transmission and pump at appropriate speeds for desired application rate.
b.
Make successive passes and ensure an appropriate overlap of coverage. Monitor results and adjust coverage vol-
ume as needed: too heavy an application will result in flooding or formation of puddles, and will be a waste of
material; too light an application will not achieve desired results.
CAUTION
Tank may be raised slightly to allow discharge of residual fluid that has pooled at bottom of tank. However,
do NOT continue to discharge after EMPTY indicator light on control panel has come on. Damage to pump
could result.
6.
When spraying operation is complete, turn off pump with pump control lever (elevator control lever) and reduce engine
RPM.
7.
Close all spray valves.
8.
Place pump control switch to OFF (suction) position.
9.
Refill tank and repeat operation as required.
CAUTION
Do NOT leave machine after operation without flushing/rinsing tank, if tank amendments were used during
mission. Tank must be clean and dry to ensure effectiveness of subsequent operations. Improper cleaning
will result in accumulation and build-up of amendments in tank. Premature failure or damage to plumbing or
pump may result. Effectiveness of amendments used may also be reduced.
10.
When spraying operation is complete flush/rinse tank to remove all traces of amendment.
PRESSURE DISCHARGE (LOWER SPRAY BAR)
WARNING
Do NOT spray or handle any substance, without first reading manufacturer's handling precautions as
printed on label. Wear appropriate protective gear, as required by MSDS and safety and medical person-
nel. Do NOT increase concentration of substance used. Do NOT smoke, as some compounds may be
flammable. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel or damage to equip-
ment.
NEVER drink water contained in water distributor tank. Water contained or dispensed from tank is
NON-POTABLE. Drinking non-potable water could result in injury or death.
