Remove seals.

Using extractor, remove pumps from pump housing.

Remove bonnet, ring, spring, and check valve from barrel.
CAUTION
Care must be taken not to damage the plunger assemblies. Keep the same cylinder dump and
plunger together. The plunger from one pump cannot be installed in another pump.

Tag and remove pump assemblies, washer, and spring.

Place indicator on gage stand.

With contact point in gage hole, place dial indicator and base on top of gage. Set indicator on 0. Record
position of small pointer.
NOTE
When measurement of pump timing dimension is made, find the difference between adjustment
reading and present reading on dial face. A dimension of 4.00 in. must be added to difference in
indicator readings for correct measurement.

Using table above, turn degree wheel to specified degree for injection pump lifter to be tested. Record reading
from dial indicator.
