SUCTION LOADING (DRAFTING) USING ONBOARD PUMP - CONTINUED
NOTE
Approximately 2-3 minutes are required for water to reach pump.

Place primer control switch to ON position.
14.
Place tank fill sparger control switch to ON position.
15.
Place pump control switch to OFF (suction) position.
16.
Raise engine speed to 1700-2200 RPM and move pump control lever (elevator control lever) to high speed.
17.
Once water can be heard entering tank, place primer control switch and vacuum control to OFF position.
18.
Continue to fill tank at high speed.
19.
When tank is full, reduce engine RPM's, place pump control lever (elevator control lever) to OFF position.
20.
Place TANK FILL SPARGER control to OFF position.
21.
Close suction loading inlet manual valve by turning handle 90 degrees counterclockwise.
22.
Place pump control switch to ON (pressure) position.
NOTE
Ensure suction hoses are empty, clean, and free of damage before stowing. Also ensure foot valve is clean
and foot valve flapper valve has free movement, before stowing.
23.
Recover foot valve and suction hoses. Disassemble and clean suction hoses and foot valve.
24.
Install caps and plugs on suction hoses. Return hoses and foot valve to storage locations.
TOP LOADING (GRAVITY FEED)
WARNING
NEVER drink water contained in water distributor tank. Water contained or dispensed from tank is
NON-POTABLE. Drinking non-potable water could result in injury or death.
DO NOT enter water tank. Tank interior is a confined space and therefore hazardous to enter. If tank
entry becomes absolutely necessary, contact your local safety office and obtain a confined space entry
permit. Requirements of 29 CFR 1910.145(d)(2)(reference17), as well as any local requirements, must
be followed. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death due to oxygen deprivation.

Tank may be filled by gravity feed through access cover, using any available fresh water source.

A ground guide should be used to ensure tank is positioned under fill source.
